Ancona, 22nd March 2011 - CRN, shipyard and brand of the Ferretti Group, privately launched the Navetta 43 "Lady Trudy", a 43 metre composite megayacht, in Ancona.
Guests of the owner's family, the management and the workers of CRN, who have produced the seventh hull of the Navetta 43 series, were present at the marina. This event confirms the presence of CRN among the world's leading manufacturers of completely customized, over 40 metre, pleasure ships.
According to Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman of CRN S.p.A. and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of the Ferretti Group, "Every launch is a special moment. This week is for us particularly important because we have two launches. These launches highlight the vitality of the company, the quality and the continuity of our production for which we are recognised in an international nautical panorama which has been scaled down in the last few years. This result has been achieved thanks to the excellent work of all the staff at the shipyard and the efforts of the whole Ferretti Group".
Meanwhile, next Saturday, 26th March, is the turn of the M/Y "CRN 130", the sixth steel and aluminium pleasure yacht of 60 metres, launched by CRN since 2005 up to now. This launch will also be private at the marina of the CRN shipyard of Ancona.
M/Y CRN NAVETTA 43 "LADY TRUDY" 43 metres
The mega yacht ‘Lady Trudy' is a composite displacement navetta.
The boat, which is 43m long and 8.6m wide, can easily accommodate 10 passengers in five guest cabins and 9 crew members with a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, powered by two CATERPILLAR C32-C engines.
The mega yacht was built in collaboration with the architects of the Zuccon International Project Studio, that has taken care of the exterior and interior layout.
It is characterised by its large spaces and wide outdoor areas, such as the covered cockpits of the main deck and the upper deck, which open into the Majestic grey "pearl effect" hull.
Equipped with four decks and a bulbous hull, it has been entirely built at the CRN premises, and every phase of the productive process, the realization of the moulds as well as the lamination of the hull, up to its furnishing and decoration has been checked.
A distinctive feature of this ship and the rest of the CRN fleet, is the terrace of the master suite which is set up as a "balcony" with a coffee table and armchairs for breakfast, to be enjoyed while sailing.
Some structural modification have been made to the sun deck of this boat. It has been elongated at the stern to make space for a helicopter landing pad.
Among the peculiarities of this mega yacht are certainly the interiors, which are finely furnished, representing a plunge into the American colonial sphere, with a touch of the romantic "Hampton Style", where the owner and his guests can enjoy every comfort.
The large fitness area at the stern also has a great impact. It almost overlooks the "little beach" close to the sea at the stern, a distinctive feature of CRN and a "must have" for the clients who are given the possibility to experience and have direct contact with the sea.
Moreover, the boat is supported by an innovative, integrated entertainment system. An info and domotics system, called "myOlos", has been developed through the partnership of the shipyard, Videoworks and Intel, to obtain on board functionality and a more user-friendly technology for the Clients of CRN. Through an iPod, this system manages and controls all the entertainment functions - including audio and video on demand - air-conditioning, on board monitoring, lighting and curtains.
This mega yacht is a masterpiece of design and "made in Italy" by CRN.
Press contacts
Roberta Sabatini
Mob. +39 349 2506725 - email: roberta.sabatini@ferrettigroup.com
