Kelly House, Silicon Valley

The Kelley House is one of three homes designed by Ettore Sottsass in the United States. It was commissioned from the brilliant Italian architect in the 1980s by IDEO founder and Apple designer David Kelley. The home is made up of six pavilions, each one completely different from the others. All the furnishings, in typically bold and colourful Memphis style, were designed and produced in Italy, shipped by sea to San Francisco and reassembled on site by Zago.
